Seasonal sensations
Welcome to the heart of fall! We cannot help but reflect on all the things that we are thankful for. Thanksgiving is at our doorstep, and with it comes a time to celebrate with family, friends and food.
Speaking of food … one of my favourite kitchen appliances is my stand mixer. It is truly amazing how easy this appliance makes even the toughest kitchen mixing jobs. It has a place of honour on my kitchen counter. This month’s special section features several small appliances— including stand mixers—that make many tasks easier. And they’re all available at Costco.
On a fun note, check out our cover story on Squishmallows. These plush, cuddly toys took the world by storm during the pandemic, appearing all over social media. In this issue you can get the inside story behind the company that has had the distinction of being the top-selling toy of the year in both Canada and the US.
Because we celebrate Thanksgiving this month (October 9), I am thinking about all of the things I am grateful for: my father, my husband of 30 years (this month in fact!), my two children, my 32-year Costco career—and many of the people around me. What are you thankful for?
