What is a NSC Medical Hybrid Mattress?
Hybrid refers to the fusion of contact surface layers, which are normally separate, into one unique mattress. As a result, the mattress contains 3 different layers; latex, Medi-foam and proprietary in-house manufactured articulating system (also known as pocket coil system).
The articulating system latex mattress from NSC Medical is a 30.5 cm (12 in.) thick hybrid mattress, with latex components for hypoallergenic properties. Around the perimeter of the mattress is Patient Transfer System, which consists of a foam border that assists with getting in and out of bed easily. The Medi-foam and Medi-gel assist with spinal realignment, pressure point relief, and regulate surface temperatures, while the pocket coils assist in reducing motion transfer.
