  • Who is eligible for a Costco membership?

    A membership is available to all qualifying individuals 16 years of age and over. Primary and Affiliate Members receive one additional card for one designated member of their household, who is over the age of 16 and living at the same address. The designated household member must provide proof that they live at the same address as the Primary Member. For additional information, see Member Privileges & Conditions.

  • How do I qualify for the annual 2% Reward?

    Executive Members receive an annual 2% Reward (up to $1,250) on qualified Costco purchases. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The Executive Membership upgrade fee is an additional $65 a year for Business or Gold Star Members (plus sales tax where applicable). We will prorate the upgrade amount based on the months remaining in your current membership. Purchases made prior to upgrading are not eligible for the 2% Reward. At your next renewal, you will be billed $130 for your Executive Membership. To upgrade, visit the membership counter at any Costco warehouse.

  • How is my annual 2% Reward calculated?

    Costco Executive Members earn an annual 2% Reward on qualified purchases (see calculation of 2% Reward). Reward is capped at and will not exceed $1,250 for any 12-month period. Only purchases made by the Primary and active Primary Household Cardholder on the account will apply toward the Reward. The Reward is not guaranteed to be equal to or greater than the Executive upgrade fee paid. Limit one Executive Membership per household and business. Purchases made prior to upgrade do not qualify for the 2% Reward. If, at any time, the Primary Household Cardholder is removed from the account, their purchases will not apply toward the Reward.   • Do I have to buy everything in bulk?

    Not at all. Costco isn’t just about bulk shopping. We sell everyday items throughout the warehouse that are single unit purchases – from electronics to clothing, home furnishings and decor to flower bouquets and engagement rings. Single-person households also find great savings when purchasing gasoline, new tires, or personal care, such as eye exams, eyeglasses or hearing aids.

  • What are Costco Services?

    Costco Services works with select providers to offer member-only value for your home or business. Costco members have access to services such as Car & Home Insurance, Costco Auto Program, Pet Insurance, Travel Insurance, Residential Internet, Self & Portable Storage, Express Courier Shipping, Business Cheque printing, Payment Processing and more!

  • Can I shop at all Costco warehouses with my membership?

    Yes. You can use your membership card at any Costco warehouse worldwide and online at Costco.ca.

* Annual 2% Reward on most annual Costco purchases – up to a maximum of $1,250. Non-negotiable, not accepted as payment on Costco credit card accounts. Must be a current member to redeem. As a valid Costco Executive member card holder, you can receive one (1) $10 CAD instant credit in your Instacart account to use at either Costco on Instacart’s marketplace or SameDay.Costco.ca (collectively, the “Eligible Accounts”) each month you have a valid Costco Executive membership that is linked to your Instacart account starting 6/30/2025. Each monthly credit is only eligible on one (1) purchase of $150 CAD or more of eligible products made from Costco on either Instacart.ca or SameDay.Costco.ca. The monthly credit will be made available to you in your Eligible Accounts at the beginning of each calendar month or on the date you become a Costco Executive member.
