Metamucil 3 in 1 MultiHealth fibre supplement capsules provide 525 mg of psyllium husk per capsule, promoting digestive health by relieving irregularity and promoting heart health.

Dosage:

Adults only, for cholesterol lowering, heart health, and to support healthy blood sugar levels: 5 capsules with 240 mL of liquid, swallowed one at a time and taken in an upright position, 4 times daily
Adults and children over 12, for relief of irregularity: 5 capsules with 240 mL of liquid, swallowed one at a time and taken in an upright position, up to 3 times daily
Children under 12 are not to take this product
Do not take a laxative within 2 hours of taking any other medicine

Servings:

15 to 20 days

Warnings:

Do not use if you have abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, failure to defecate following the use of another laxative, or if you have a sudden change in bowel habits persisting for 2 weeks.
Do not use if you have diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate.
If constipation persists for more than seven days, symptoms worsen, or if rectal bleeding occurs, stop use and consult your doctor as these may be signs of a serious condition.
Metamucil may cause an allergic reaction in people sensitive to inhaled or ingested psyllium; in which case, discontinue use.
May cause temporary gas and/or bloating.
Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and may cause choking. Do not take if you have difficulty swallowing. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications which inhibit peristaltic movement (e.g. opioids, loperamide).
If you have chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking the product, seek immediate medical attention.
